...was a very special day for the 2 youngest breadners in antigua. (did i mention that we are the only breadners in antigua?) ché & willow were both blessed in the Olivet Pentecostal church.
irma james, my mother-in-law has been an integral part of the upbringing of both ché & willow. with ché's birth complications & both children's recent stay at irma's home in kingston (in preparation for our departure for antigua), irma has more than contributed to both their well-being.
...the reunion — after 10 years — with her brother rudolph the pastor, initated her request to have her grandchildren blessed by her brother before she returned to canada. it seemed to be a very reasonable thing to ask. (besides, it was her birthday & i hate to shop.)
pastor rudolph was scheduled to do the deed, the following week. but who would be god parents? the answer was an easy one. and fortunately, ken & mia hurst happily accepted.
on sunday november 19th 2006, ché elija james breadner & willow rebecca arielle breadner were blessed.
my most sincere thanks to uncle, pastor rudolph, his wife & 2 daughters, his congregation, god father + mother: ken, mia & their family. thank you to irma for suggesting the event. and finally thank you to lois. she is — without a doubt — the best, most loving mother i know.
