Wow. Congratulations, Rob. That's awesome news. Life is so much more than work. And from everything I've heard, Antigua is gorgeous.

- Paul Bremner, toronto ON, 08.03.06

That is crazy news. Sounds like a great change though. I hope we can meet up before you depart. Also, I'm glad to hear about the new baby.

- Eric Lipardt, toronto ON, 08.03.06

Wow! You're going to get inundated with responses, no doubt, and I just had to be one of them.
First of all, congratulations! Great to hear about your little one coming.
Second, I couldn't agree more with your decisions and I am amazed by your courage to make such a life-altering change. Keep me informed of any going away events. As noted, you're going to be very busy for the next several months so I don't want to get in the way, but I definitely want to catch up with you before you go.

- Bev Buckton, newmarket ON, 08.03.06

Hi Rob, First, congrats on the arrival of your second child. Secondly, all the best in your new life and adventures to the carribean. Please keep in touch with us Rob. I will look forward to hearing the news and juice of your new life in Antigua and as parents. All the best to you, Lois and your family. Take care Rob.

- Lynn Grundy, markham ON, 08.03.06

WHAT??? You're moving...? :-(
At least it is somewhere Exotic and Beautiful ... I am soooo jealous ....
The good news is I will have a place to stay when I visit for vaca. :-)
WoW! I still can't believe it. But you and Lois are very hard-working and
getting out of this rat-race of a life will be sooooo good. You'll be my
inspiration for when I retire - to move somewhere warm and beautiful!

- Vita Li Vigni , toronto ON, 08.03.06

WAY TO GO!!!
Just spectacular news (both baby and the move). We`ll be sure to make plans to hook up. cool!

- Gabriella K, toronto ON, 08.03.06

Whoa! That's such an amazing life move. Nice going. This is kind of the
equivalent of watching a game-winning basket for the home team thrown all
the way from centre court. Totally unexpected, but fantastic. And congrats
on Che's sister on the way! That must have been an inspiration to shuffle
too. We've been thinking about you guys. Too occupied to get off our own
hampster wheel to pay a visit.

- Richard Fofana, toronto ON, 08.03.06

Wow! Good for you guys. I wish you all the best. Can I come? You guys are making a great big move which in turn will only bring you and Lois even closer. I am happy for all of you and I have to admit, a little bit envious. What you and Lois have is beautiful and I wish with everything within me that I may find something remotely close to what you to share.
Rob, you gave me my first photo shoot and job opportunities and I will never forget that. I am truely grateful.
You are a special man, Rob. You deserve to get away from all of those here that didn't appreciate you or show our appreciation for you.
....I'm rambling now. I am sad but happy at the same time. I will definitely take the time to see you all before your departure. Let me know if you will be having a farewell party b/c I'll be there with bells on.

- Marsha May, mississauga ON, 08.03.06

Congratulations Tostitos!!!
I haven't talked to you in years, but Lynn keeps me up to date on all of your adventures. i'm glad to hear that things are going full steam ahead for you, but I'm sad to hear that you are leaving TO. Even though you may not keep in touch with someone, you always feel that they are just around the corner. Well I guess that that wont be the case anymore. Good luck.
Hope that I get to see you before you're gone. Your old work friend,

- Mike Williams, stouville 08.03.06

Holy Smokes!!! That is not just leaving Toronto!!! I'm glad to hear you want to slow down though and enjoy being a family - too many people are convinced that a career is paramount for happiness. Please forgive me....CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That is very exciting news about your July arrival - just a tad overshadowed by
your moving news!!!!! Why Antigua?? (that is where we had our honeymoon!) We would surely LOVE to come and visit you there!! Do you plan to do the same work? KEEP IN TOUCH!!!

- Jessica How, calgary alberta, 08.03.06

wow congrats babe - i know i will miss you large....:) the happiest of happy moments to ya ;) hugzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

- miss money penny, toronto ON, 08.03.06

Hey there you two -- Congrats -- looks like we are all on the move!! Good
for you -- I have two months off at at time and I might just visit you in
Antigua -- so don't be surprised. We likely won't cross paths before I leave -- I wish you the very best and I know we will keep in touch.
Love to you all -- best with the new wee gal! Love to Lois and kisses for
Che -- and best of everything to you all.

- Cindy Breadner, midland ON, 08.03.06

RoB, Lois and Che,
All the best in Antigua. Rob you'll finally be tanned all year round. LOL!
Thanks for the DTP instruction and advice for follow up questions.

- Greg Grant, toronto ON, 08.03.06

Wow! That's fantastic news -- on the baby side and on the moving to Antigua side! I'm so happy for you and Lois. Not many people are brave enough to chase their dreams and for sure, it ain't easy -- but it's so worth it! I've been living in Sudan for six months now and still have new adventures each and every day. We're planning a holiday in Toronto sometime in July, so hopefully, I'll be able to see you guys before you take off.
Please let me know if you'd like any advice about moving/living in the
tropics. Having done it in Barbados, I may be able to offer a few tidbits.
I wish you and Lois and Che all the very best in your upcoming adventures!!

- Caron Zahir, khartoum sudan, 09.03.06

I was on the web site to see the family calender, its looking great! Are you just caught up until july?? I'm sure it is alot of work! I'd love to see any recent pic's of C & W !!! Love You.

- Michelle Breadner, owen sound ON, 11.01.07

Whoa, incredible news! What an adventure it will be. I wish you guys all the best. And congrats on No. 2! Say hi to Lois--will of course let christi know the news. We'll have to try and connect before you depart.

- Neil & Christie Morton, toronto ON, 08.03.06

Hey Rob, wow ... that's all I can say! ...well, I should say more: I have to commend you on making such a life changing move. I've done it before (Portugal to Canada on my own) and if it's what you want, the payoff will be worth all the trouble to get there. So you're getting off the grid, moving to a place where life will definitely be more laid back: Do you plan on remaining a graphic designer? A Photographer? Whoa! I can only begin to imagine the incredible shots you will get living in the Caribbean.

- Pedro Marques , toronto ON, 09.03.06

Wow!!!! Aweswome Rob,
I am so happy for you. Your family deserves a full time father. You will reap the rewards in years to come. Perhaps work will be plentiful ahen you get there. You could open up school there!!!!! Please keep in touch and I wish you and your family a great life. All my very Best.

- Olaf Schneider, toronto ON, 10.03.06

Rob, Lois,
Love the new idea and congrats on the impending arrival. I haven't been to Antigua for years, but used to spend good times there, goofing in St. Johns and generally hanging about. I wonder if Skells chicken joint is still going... Best of luck on the whole program, I will be looking forward to the yard sale...

- PJ Taylor, toronto ON, 14.03.06

hey buddy
wow this is big news. first things first: Congrats on the new munchkin.
and on the move. so i guess my next visit with you guys will be somewhere warm :) cheers.

- Cory Davidson , dusseldorph Germany, 18.03.06

I wish you and your family all the best rob - it's an inspirational adventure!

- Tim Furgeson , toronto ON, 22.03.06

Wow guys, that's some crazy-assed news! I wish you both all the best with your new lives. Life is too short so live!!!!
It would be great to hook up with you guys before you leave "the grid"!

- Peter Grech , toronto ON, 24.03.06

HOLY CRAP! Usually when I ask people about what’s going on, they don’t have much to say…
Antigua AND another baby on the way? What the???????? When the?????? What made you decide to move? And why to Antiqua so far far away?
I can’t believe you’re LEAVING! I am truly truly sad I’m gonna cry…you have no idea. I don’t think you know how much of an influence you’ve had on me since I first met you at George Brown. You don’t know this but, you were my secret mentor. I always wanted to ask you if I could apprentice with you so I could develop my graphic design skills but, I didn’t get my shty together soon enough and now I’m shyt out of luck. Procrastination never pays. I want you to know that your skills and the work that you’ve done inspires me to do better and to be better. You are a creative genius and I have no doubt that you will be a success wherever you go. I am so greatful that you will be here long enough to do my wedding and I hope we can get together outside of the wedding for a drink before you leave. When is that by the way?
All I can say is good luck to you! I wish you and your family the best of luck and all the wonderful things that life can offer.
I will call you before the end of this week to discuss the details of the ceremony… not too much to discuss now though! lol
Very very extremely sad Cheers…

- Michelle Osbourne, toronto ON, 28.03.06

Hey Rob,
Some exciting things going...congrats on the soon to arrive new baby. If I don't get a chance to run into you before moving...best of luck.

- Paul Fortune , kingston ON, 28.03.06

Awesome roB -- I enjoy getting your updates and glad you are well!
Weather is starting to be fall like here -- this long weekend was rainy and cooler -- sure ready for the fall colours -- I am sure you miss everyone and are settling in well -- should one want to come to visit you might want to do a little blog on where you are and where one would fly to in order to see you and meet you at the airport! Thanks for all your time spent on this and glad to hear from you. Love Always

- Cindy Breadner, midland ON, 04.09.06

hi rob,
I'm so happy for you that things are going so well there! In a few months when winter hits all of us folks in Canada are going to be insanely jealous of your "hot hot" tropics, so enjoy it while you can.

- Leah Zhang, kitchener ON, 05.09.06

I love it all. I love the site, I love the stories, I love the pics. I love your little "struggle" adjusting to things there. It's awesome. Alot of silly things you talk about like the road conditions, customer service . . . remind me of Portugal. Take care.

- Mike Nunes, toronto ON, 19.09.06

Rob I am really enjoying hearing all about your adventures in Antigua! Barber is sooo cute!!! Hope you put the guestbook up soon so that people can start signing!! I'll be the first to sign from Europe!!! Have a great week.

- Katerina, germany, 26.09.06

Hey Rob,
Pretty amazing! I had a chance to look thorough some of the images and read up on your adventures. I'll get a better chance to take my time with it when I'm not in the office being pulled at from every sleeve. You're an awesome guy and I respect what you've done for your family. (I love the name Che as well....I'm assuming he's named after Che Guevara...if that's the case I read an awesome biography by John Lee Anderson a couple of years ago...he was an incredible individual.) Anyway, keep in touch and good luck with your new life!

- Francesco Policaro, brampton ON, 26.09.06

Nice web site. BTW, wrt the link "The Moment," "Carpe Momento" is my favorite expression. I was thinking of you at the Black Eyed Peas concert.
McMurdo and I took our pregnant wives. The band led the sold out Molson Amphitheatre during its rendtion of "Where is the Love" to the chorus of "George Bush is a terrorist."

- Jamie Wall , markham ON, 19.09.06

Let me ask you, do you have rooms for rent if I was to come and VISIT?? Sounds like a great place....LUCKY YOU.

I understand you and the family will soon be leaving Canada. And I also know how much you'll be missed. At the risk of sounding sappy I would like to say thank you for the good times. And I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

- Mike Coseni, toronto ON, 07.04.06

WOW, and WOW again.
from your blog and photos you already seem much more contented and spiritual centered ... so begs the question nature vs nurture, environmental vs. heredity? how very wonderful for you and the family to have embraced this simplified lifestyle. in a society obsessed with materials goods, it's refreshing to learn that perspectives can still be changed allowing us to appreciate the natural God given gifts around us. may that serenity be with you always.
I understand how you feel, having returned from northern England where life in the countryside for those two weeks was so far removed from the rush of the city that it was almost unbearable to come back.
I hate the way the city is intensifying with buildings going up wily Nelly and no thought for urban design. the ride down the Gardiner from the east to west has the landscape all but obliterated by these imposing condo tower. horrible, horrible.

- Frisca Ozorio, toronto ON, 29.08.06

Hey Rob/snow does not abound at the moment. Rolling out the winter tires... my son is about to strap on his hockey skates and you're probably teaching your son to stay on a surf board. the minus weather got me thinking of palm trees...hence the email. trust all is well.

- David Robinson, toronto ON, 11.12.06

Hey Rob, Thanks for the frequent updates. It nice to see that you and your family are settling in to your new home. The pics are wonderful and a window into this new world of yours. Keep me in the loop.

- Desiree Marshall , toronto ON, 17.01.07
